With the help of the bass/treble boost/cut-stacked pot, the sound can be fine-tuned according to taste, making the instrument ideal for all genres from Blues to rock. In addition, the two Squier Ceramic Noiseless Jazz Bass single coils provide a defined sound, while the construction of the E-Bass allows for comfortable playability. With a poplar body and a bolt-on maple neck in the classic "C" neck profile, the Affinity Active Jazz Bass combines a classic design with comfortable handling. The maple fingerboard is equipped with 20 frets and has a 12" fingerboard radius, making it ideal for tackling juicy licks and demanding bass lines. On top of this, the fretboard has Pearloid block inlays, which skillfully underline the instrument's classic vintage lock.
At the heart of the Affinity Active Jazz Bass are two Squier Ceramic Noiseless Jazz Bass single coils in the middle and bridge positions, which enable a defined sound and deliver a crisp tone without annoying background noise. The active preamp allows additional fine-tuning of the general sound character and can be precisely adjusted using a stacked pot with separate controls for bass/treble boost/cut. This allows you to tickle soft basses or present, crisp highs out of the instrument, making the E-Bass suitable for a wide range of genres.
The Affinity Active Jazz Bass is equipped with a 5-saddle standard bridge, which provides sufficient support for a robust string action, while the intonation is reliably maintained. The vintage-style tuners also ensure secure tuning and emphasize the Vintage-Look beautiful chrome finish. The instrument is also equipped with .045 - .125 factory strings and comes with a black, three-ply pickguard that perfectly matches the incomparable black metallic finish.
