Also known as Sweet Annie, Chinese Wormwood or Sweet Wormwood, Artemisia annua has long been a traditional favorite to support the body’s defenses in China, and is now becoming more popular worldwide thanks to an increase in interest in what this annual herbaceous plant may have to offer for optimizing human wellness. While research has identified many bioactive constituents in Wormwood, the most exciting is artemisinin, which is found in the leaves of the plant. While this amount varies with each batch, the dried leaves have been found to typically contain around 1% artemisinin.
