The Lehle Mono Volume S is an extremely compact active volume pedal that offers some sophisticated technical features. Unlike passive, potentiometer-based pedals, the pedal uses the proven magnetic sensor VCA technology known from other Lehle pedals for durable and wear-free functionality. Here, the Hall sensor measures the distance of the magnet in cooperation with the integrated ARM Cortex CPU to enable precise settings by foot, whereby the signal path always remains analogue despite digital control from input to output. The additional DIR port also allows tuners or additional amplifiers to be operated at any time regardless of the pedal position, while the front-side USB port even turns the Lehle Mono Volume S into a fully-fledged MIDI-USB expression pedal.
