For more precise shifting: The 3x cable guide for the rocker arm from Nicolai CNC-milled and anodised in a variety of colours, Nicolai is quite proud of these cable holders. They not only look good, but their screw connection also offers multiple technical advantages. Every weld seam and spot on the frame weakens the aluminium, as the heat generated from welding affects and changes its structure. A small weld seam on the cable holder weakens the tube only slightly, but the tube is less weakened by a small seven-millimetre drill hole with a retracted thread. The cable guidance on Nicolai models is designed to keep cable movement at a minimum. The advantage: the sheathed wires move much less in the shift cable sheath and only emerge from the sheath much later than with normal cable holders. This means that the rear derailleur shifts longer and with greater precision.
