More than enough for a standard kit

With the AKG Drum Set Session 1, beginners get a powerful drum microphone set suitable for both stage and studio use. It includes seven microphones from the Perception Live series, designed to capture the details of a full standard drumkit – enough for a snare, three toms, a bass drum, and various cymbals. Thanks to their versatility, the microphones can also be used in the studio for a range of other purposes. The set additionally comes with a six-piece accessory package, comprising four H440 rim clamps and two stand mounts for the overhead microphones. All of the components are transported in a durable aluminium case.

Tailored for each component

The P2 is a dynamic cardioid microphone optimised for bass drum capture: It delivers a rich sound and can handle high sound pressure levels. The more compact P4, a dynamic cardioid microphone, reliably captures toms and snare drums, and four of these are included in the set. Two small diaphragm condenser microphones, the P17s, serve as overheads and deliver a natural, spatial representation of the drumkit. For those wishing to capture specific cymbals separately, the P170, an identical model to the P17, can be purchased separately (the P17 designation is exclusive to this set).

About AKG

AKG was founded in Vienna, in 1947, by Dr. Rudolf Goerike and Ernst Pless.
