Bassists will find the Duesenberg Starplayer Bass to be a high-quality instrument that delivers a rich, deep bass foundation. Based on the construction of the successful Starplayer TV, the semi-hollow body has an arched top made of spruce and traditionally curved sides made of flamed maple. The robust neck made of American hard rock maple is topped by a 12" fingerboard made of East Indian rosewood with 22 jumbo frets. The nickel hardware, which develops a natural patina over time, has a warm, elegant sheen. The included Duesenberg Custom Line case is made of high-quality materials and designed to protect the instrument optimally from external influences.
The unique, open tone of semi-acoustic basses is not comparable to that of their solid-bodied relatives. The well-thought-out design with a continuous center block successfully prevents feedback and also enables high high-gain volumes. With the patented PLEK process, frets and nut are perfectly aligned, resulting in a completely buzz-free, flat and balanced string action. This creates the optimum conditions for the final setup, including a multi-stage, carefully hand-polished fret polish.
The two in-house BassBucker pickups deliver a powerful sound with plenty of punch and pressure, while at the same time enabling crystal-clear sounds rich in overtones. Thanks to the two volume controls and a master tone pot, versatile bass sounds from almost all genres are possible. Whether on stage, in the rehearsal room or at Studio - the Duesenberg Starplayer Bass can be switched off quickly and conveniently in any situation using the small switch on the Pickguard. The previously set mix sound is retained.
