The Gretsch G6228 Players Edition Jet BT V Stoptail Deep Cherry Metallic from the Professional Collection manufactured in Japan is a chic Singlecut electric guitar with clear retro influences, whose métier is first-class blues and rock'n'roll sounds. Gretsch uses a mahogany body with resonance chambers and a maple top, while the set neck is made of mahogany with an ebony fingerboard. Two Gretsch Broad'Tron BT65 pickups on the amplifier promise a harmonious, rich sound with the typical Gretsch character. Last but not least, the Gretsch G6228 Players Edition Jet has an Adjusto-Matic bridge with "V" stoptail and precise Gotoh clamp tuners.
For the construction of the Gretsch G6228 Players Edition Jet, Gretsch relies on a mahogany body whose generous resonance chambers characterize the sound with a rich mid-range spectrum and an even Attack. The chambers are also closed off by a laminated maple top. The glued mahogany neck with its "Standard U" profile offers furthermore optimum playing characteristics across the entire ebony fingerboard.
The electric sound conversion of the Gretsch G6228 Players Edition Jet BT V Stoptail Deep Cherry Metallic is handled by two Gretsch Broad'Tron BT65 humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Developed by legendary pickup designer Tim Shaw, the pickups impress with a broad sound image that provides the ideal basis for blues and rock sounds with a deep bass range, pronounced mids and a finely nuanced treble spectrum. The Gretsch circuitry, which includes individual volume controls for each pickup as well as general tone and volume potentiometers, also makes it possible to call up a wide range of tonal colors.
