In addition to the semi-acoustic body made of laminated basswood, the four-stringer has a glued Nyatoh maple neck, whose rounded "AGB4" profile fits comfortably in the hand. At the bass amplifier also Classic Elite Bass humbucker and a classic passive electrics provide adequate vintage sounds with sonorous low end. High-quality Hardware in the form of a Gibraltar III Bass bridge including matching Quik Change III Tailpiece and encapsulated die-cast tuners completes the equipment of the Artcore AGB200-BKF Black Flat Semi-Hollow Bass from Ibanez.

The extremely traditional construction of the Artcore AGB200 Semi Hollow Bass promises agile playing characteristics and a sonorous sound with a resonant acoustic touch, without the Bass being prone to feedback at high volumes. While the short 30.3" scale length (770 mm) in combination with the laminated basswood body stabilized by a centre block creates the basis for a rich, low-frequency sound, it provides buttery smooth playing characteristics in combination with the rounded but not too powerful "AGB4" profile of the Nyatoh maple neck. Thanks to the large cutaway, the high registers of the 22-fret walnut fingerboard are also easily accessible.

Last but not least, Ibanez completes the Artcore AGB200-BKF Black Flat Semi Hollow Bass with high-quality attachments that, despite their classic look, boast contemporary functionality. The Quik Change III Bass tailpiece, into which the strings are conveniently hooked from above for a quick change, guides the strings over the solidly built Gibraltar III Bass bridge, which not only supports the lively sound of the semi-acoustic E-Bass, but also guarantees exact intonation and comfortably playable string action. At the headstock, encapsulated Ibanez die-cast tuners also keep the Bass securely in the correct tuning.
