The Ibanez UKS100-OPN Soprano Ukulele produces an amazingly powerful sound thanks to its thin-laminated body, with the help of a multi-soundhole additionally delivered directly to the player. In addition, the compact instrument is extremely easy to finger in all frets and also promises a clean intonation on the entire 352 mm scale. With the help of open chrome tuners, the 4 nylon strings can be easily tuned, so that the instrument is also excellently suited for beginners. Visually, the ukulele is rounded off by an open pore finish that harmonizes perfectly with the tonewoods used.
Construction and woodsSince the body is made of laminated Sapele, the individual notes are enriched with a pleasant warmth. Thus, the Ibanez UKS100-OPN produces an authentic sound for which Hawaiian instruments are known and loved worldwide. The flat neck made of Okoume is equipped with a Purpleheart fingerboard, which offers the player an excellent playability in all 16 frets.
Hardware and designThe saddle and the 37 mm nut are perfectly matched so that the instrument intonates cleanly. At the same time the 4 strings can be tuned easily with the chrome-plated open-gear tuners. The fretboard has discreet dot inlays for orientation. The highlight of the instrument is undoubtedly the elaborate multi sound hole in the frame, which gives the overall appearance a very individual touch.
