Pioneer DJ introduces the DDJ-FLX4, a versatile DJ controller suitable for beginners and advanced users alike, and the direct successor to the legendary DDJ-400. The Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 is pre-enabled for the rekordbox DJ performance Mode and Serato DJ Lite (upgrading to Serato Pro requires an additional fee!) and allows the use of streaming services such as TIDAL, Beatport Streaming, Beatsource Streaming, and SoundCloud Go+. Please note that a subscription with the respective provider is required.

As is customary with Pioneer DJ, the layout of the DDJ-FLX4 is based on club standards. The controls are intuitively arranged, ensuring that professionals, advanced users, and beginners can all navigate with ease. Beginners, even without prior experience, will feel supported thanks to numerous DJ tutorials and two new Smart Mixing features from Pioneer DJ. The "Smart Fader" function, when activated, automatically adjusts the tempo of two tracks as you move a channel or crossfader, while also eliminating overlapping frequencies. This makes it possible to create seamless transitions across genres with significant tempo differences. Additionally, the "Smart CFX" feature allows users to modify the music to their liking with a single button press. With the new rekordbox DJ version set to launch for smartphones and tablets in early 2023, the controller will also be compatible with Apple iOS and Android devices. All these features make the DDJ-FLX4 the perfect gift for aspiring DJs!

Jogwheels are, next to the mixer and effect functions, the most important control element of a DJ controller. The jog wheels on the DDJ-FLX4 are ergonomically designed to provide a secure feel and simulate what a DJ does with vinyl or CDs, for example, finding the right playback position in a piece of music and playing the song from that position.

The performance pads control essential functions in the software. In the DDJ-FLX4, there are 8 pads for each function , which can be used for hot cues, pad FX, beat jump, samples, keyboard, loops and pitch changing options. So special passages in the music can be creatively changed, extended or alienated to your own taste.

The "Beat FX" are indispensable tools on the DDJ-FLX4 because echoes, delays and modulating effects always synchronize in the right timing on music analyzed with the rekordbox DJ software. This allows DJs to spend more time selecting music and only need to make sure that the effect quantization is set according to their preferences.

Smart CFX lets users put their own stamp on any song by simply turning a knob to apply a combination of effects that adds a special touch to the sound. The "Smart Fader" option activates the adjustment of the tempo of two pieces of music, when moving a channel fader or the crossfader and takes over the cancellation of overlapping frequencies.
