The smell of a fireplace alone makes us think of the country, the holidays, the joys of cooler weather. Family gatherings, reading, romance, old world–associations are plentiful. In the speed of the modern world, especially in the city, it is rarer to have a working fireplace–or to take the time to light a fire. It’s a commitment. So we created the candle to give you the scent and feeling of a having a gentle fire roaring wherever you may be. It took a while to get the wood mix right; we use a particular blend of cedar, pine, and oak and add cade and birch for smoke and ash.” – D.S., Perfumer & Founder.
Top notes: dwarf pine wood, atlas cedar
Heart notes: smoke, oak ash, cedar
Base notes: birch, birch tar, copaiba resin
- Handcrafted in small batches from carefully selected raw materials, each transcendent fragrance blend is mixed in vegan soy wax, poured into a jar and finished with a woven cotton wick.
- Burning time approx. 60h.
- Trim the wick.
- Once your candle is lit, don't blow it out until the top layer of way has melted all the way across to achieve an even burn (several hours). Whenever a candle only burns for a few moments, the wick starts to sink lower and a tunnel is forming right through the center of the candle. All the unmelted wax will be tough to light, representing hours of lovely fragrance that won't be utilized.
