The Deore shifter SL-M6000-I by Shimano is equipped with an I-Spec II mount The Shimano SL-M6000-I is the first Deore shifter with I-Spec II construction. This allows the shift and brake levers to be mounted on only one receptacle, which makes the cockpit clearer and saves weight. Like the clamp version, the SL-M6000-I impresses with smooth, powerful index shifting performance. Its housing is made of aluminium, the two levers are made of plastic or steel. As with all Rapidfire Plus Shifters, this model can downshift up to three gears at once. In addition, the trigger lever can be operated both with the index finger (pulling) and with the thumb (pushing) known as the 2-Way Release function. An Optislick inner cable with friction-reducing coating is included in the scope of delivery. Two levers, the main lever and the release lever, are used instead of a twist shifter. Rapidfire Plus shift levers, as the name suggests, ensure fast shifting. In addition, depending on the model, it is possible to downshift up to three gears with one shift stroke. 2-Way-Release With 2-Way-Release, the shifter can be pressed and pulled to shift to the smaller sprocket or chainring. This allows you to adjust the shifting process to your personal preferences. Most Rapidfire Plus shifters are equipped with 2-Way Release. I-Spec II I-Spec II describes a variant of the connection between the brake lever and the shift lever on MTB or, more precisely, flatbar gears from Shimano. This type of mount makes for a tidy cockpit as it reduces the number of clamps needed. On some models it is also possible to adjust the shift lever both horizontally and vertically in relation to the brake lever.
