Note from the manufacturer: When using these chainrings on Super Record, Record and Chorus CT cranks for models from 2009 to 2011, the new chainring bolts FC-SR200 must be used. In addition, both chainrings must be replaced; mixing old and new chainrings is not possible. Technology: XPSS™
XPSS™ is not only the abbreviation for eXtreme Performance Shifting System™. It describes a project with a precise objective: to give Campagnolo 11-speed groupsets the optimum derailleur performance. The Campy Tech Lab™ hit the mark once again.
The design of the zones for upshifting and downshifting the chain was researched down to the smallest detail using mathematical calculations that simulate the possible chain movements on the chainrings and outline their ideal angles. In addition, repeated laboratory tests to increase the speed and precision of the derailleur shifting performance ensured final optimisation. The individual tooth profiles of the chainrings are designed to provide maximum performance and, in combination with the 11-speed chain, make a perfect ensemble with the specially shaped front derailleur. The latter is able to move the chain extremely quickly and precisely from one chainring to the other, even under load. The secret of its amazing success lies in the perfect combination and integration of all drive components: every single one of them has been designed to work and function flawlessly with the others. It's in this way only that you can enjoy the extraordinary performance that the XPSS™ system has to offer.
