With the Taylor T5z Classic Koa, the Californian manufacturer presents a hybrid guitar that authentically reproduces the sound of an acoustic guitar as well as the sound of an electric guitar thanks to its clever design and pickup assembly. A hollow construction consisting of a Koa top with sound holes and a Sapele body gives the guitar the perfect foundation for a rich and dynamic tone. Equipped with a humbucker hidden under the neck/body junction, a lipstick-style humbucker and a body sensor, the T5z Classic offers the possibility of playing either expressive electric guitar solos or lush rhythm guitar. Volume, bass and treble pots are mounted on the top for general adjustment. To switch between the three pickups, the manufacturer installs a 5-way switch in the frame, which can be used to control the individual pickups and one pair each. The bolt-on mahogany neck with its exquisite ebony fingerboard, combined with a scale length of 632 mm and a nut width of 42.8 mm, ensures optimum playability on all 21 frets. Precise die-cast tuners on the characteristic Taylor headstock round off this instrument. The Taylor T5z Classic Koa comes with a sturdy case.
