The Mackie DLZ Creator XS is the ideal mobile mixing tool for podcasters and streamers. An uncomplicated user interface makes it easy for beginners to find their way around. But the device also offers a wide range of options and possibilities for those who want a certain degree of individualization. The color touch display provides a clear overview of the user interface.

The volume of up to 4 connected microphones can be easily prioritized using the automix functions. This ensures less chaos and greater intelligibility when several people are speaking at the same time, e.g. in a podcast situation. The so-called "Mix Agent" makes it easy to set up the DLZ Creator XS. Three modes (simple, advanced, professional) provide a flexible way of adjusting the mixer to the user's individual situation and requirements. "Mix-Minus" gives you the opportunity to add a caller to Mix via the Bluetooth function of your smartphone. Communication is interference-free without noise or unwanted echo. Individual headset mixes can be easily created for each guest using the 8 rotary controls. The microphone amplifier provides amplification of up to 80dB. This means that even microphones with a low output power can be made audible. Recordings can be made via USB-C on a computer or in standalone mode via SD card.

In simple mode, the focus is on adapting the mixer to the current situation as quickly as possible without compromising the sound. Only a short channel description, the selection of a microphone preset and the leveling of the microphone (automatic leveling possible) are necessary to create a high-quality Mix in a matter of seconds.

In Advanced mode, you also have the option of choosing between a dynamic or condenser microphone and adapting the mixer even better to the connected microphone. Reverb and delay can also be added to the voice. These plug-ins are Mackie's own effects, which are perfectly tailored to the software. In Advanced mode, you also have further options for customizing your input signal with the help of a 3-band EQ, a high-pass filter, compression and a de-esser function.

In Pro mode, the above functions can be set even more precisely. The EQ is shown graphically on the touch display and EQ settings can be loaded or created via Preset. In addition, the signals of the individual channels can be panned to the left or right. The compressor and de-esser can also be adjusted much more finely and frequency-directed.

Using the Ethernet connection, it is possible to connect the DLZ Creator XS to a WLAN router and make it an important part of an existing NDI network. This allows the mixer to be used for different computers at the same time, as long as they are all connected to the NDI network. This is especially useful in a streaming situation with multiple PCs.
