Circuit Tracks from Novation is the official successor to Circuit. As a modern groovebox, it combines four drum tracks, two synth tracks with internal sound generation and two MIDI tracks for external equipment such as synth expanders. There's even room for a rechargeable battery in the compact case, so you can let your creativity run free wherever you are.
The two synthesizer tracks are polyphonic and have an extensive selection of sounds that are easily customizable thanks to the many controls. Each part has a resonant filter, envelopes and LFO, so that the sound can be customized as desired. The two MIDI tracks can be used to control external equipment such as a desktop synthesizer or rack expander. The four drum tracks are sample-based and access a huge pool of sounds via MicroSD card. Since the tracks don't care whether Kick and Clap are played or a short self-recorded vocal or a sampled chord is triggered by the sequencer, there is no limit to creativity. More in-depth sound editing, convenient memory management, sample organization and, of course, OS Updates can be conveniently done on the computer with the COMPONENTS software, which is available free of charge.
