The Pianobox Pro HOST from Miditech is an easy-to-use sound module with GM sound generation. GM aka General MIDI is a sample-based sound generation with 128 sounds covering grand pianos, Electric pianos, synthesizers, strings, basses, drums and many more sounds. These sounds can be distributed and played on 16 MIDI channels simultaneously. A simple reverb effect can be mixed in with the sounds. With 81 voices, the MIDI expander has enough reserves so that no voice stealing happens while playing. Thanks to the 100 integrated Drum patterns of different styles and the 6.3 mm Hi-Z input for guitar and Bass the Pianobox Pro HOST is excellent for practicing and as accompaniment. The speed of the rhythms is of course individually adjustable. Power is supplied via the USB device port, which can also be used to play the sound module via DAW, or via the included USB power supply. The front USB host port is intended for the connection of a master keyboard; so the sound module can be connected to a keyboard in the shortest way without having to supply the keyboard itself with power.
