The Impact LX88 mk3 from Nektar is a fully featured DAW controller and master keyboard with complete NKS compatibility. Its clearly arranged control surface offers 8 faders, 8 velocity-sensitive pads, 8 smooth-turning knobs, and a wealth of buttons for instant access to key functions. The semi-weighted 88-note keyboard is easy to play, solidly built, and equally at home in the studio or on stage. The 8 velocity-sensitive pads are perfect for expressive drum and percussion programming. A range of default setups for the faders and controls can be customized as needed. With its transport section, you can control essential DAW functions – such as start/stop, record, and metronome – directly from the LX88 mk3. The DAW looper is also included, letting you repeat arrangement sections on the fly. Other standout features include a chord mode that lets you trigger full chords with a single finger, and a scale mode that makes it easy to play even unusual scales with precision. Nektar has placed strong emphasis on deep DAW integration in the Impact LX mk3, including full NKS support. Out of the box, it’s pre-mapped for Ableton Live (Suite), Bitwig Studio, Cakewalk/Sonar, Cubase (v13+), FL Studio, Garageband, Nuendo, Logic Pro, Reason, Reaper, and Studio One (v5+), among others. All settings can be adjusted directly on the device.
